In my first few months in Australia, I was shocked because nothing of what I've learnt about English was helping me to interpret what I am reading everyday. I swear I felt like another English is used here. I was questioning almost everything. What's the meaning of "bloody hell"? What does "people about" mean? I couldn't get a lot of this kind of phrases because it was my first time to experience the culture of the west.
Six months later, many things happened to my life, and then I decided to move to Sydney. There, the first thing I've noticed is they are using this statement "BILL POSTERS WILL BE PROSECUTED" everywhere. Honestly, I got the meaning from the first time but I wasn't so confident about my interpretation. Until one day I found out that I am not the only idiot student who was suffering to interpret and understand the meaning. Welcome to the western culture school. HeHeHe :D Locals are so funny :D
